5 Months of Joy...

So here is my monthly update on who I consider the most beautiful baby in the world, but I am a little bias! I really can't believe that another month has passed allready, it is crazy. Caitlyn continues to amaze me everday with the new things that she learns how to do. Here she is sitting up:

It was only for a minute or two but it still counts! She continues to roll over and is starting to realize that she can roll back and sometimes she even hangs out on her side for a little while. Last night she actully started scooting herself along!! It was crazy, Mike was getting her ready for bad and she rolled over as usual and then she got up on her knees a little and pushed. She was so excited that she could actually move by herself. So we'll see how that goes in the next couple of weeks!!

So a little note about this last picture. Caitlyn loves music and she has discovered, thanks to her parents, High School Musical 2. We have it on Tivo so she can watch it all the time, so much fun for me. But her favorite part is the begininng of the Fabulous song and this is her face when it starts! She does it everytime, even when she is totally distracted by something else. I think it is so cute!!! Also today Caitlyn's cousin, Sadie, is going to be born. She probably is allready here but I haven't heard from Mary yet. The lucky girl got to have a planned C-Section so her birth should be quicker and less dramatic than Evan's!!

New Addition to the Family...

I am so excited that we are finally done with the old, very old, Camry and have moved on to bigger and better things. Seriously the Camry was 11 years old, had survived my two brothers, mom and multiple others. When I say survived I mean barely, that poor car had been through so much and it showed. I wish I had a picture but the car is gone and I can't get one. All that needs to be said is that it had a gray stripe on the side from where my one brother wrecked the car and my other brother said that he could fix it for cheaper and never quite got around to painting it! But now we have a new Pilot and I am so excited! Caitlyn likes it too, it is so quiet and smooth that she falls asleep anytime we drive anywhere! It should be fun, my favortie part right now is the seat warmers because it is so cold here! Here's a picture:

4 Months down...

So once again we reach the 22nd of the month and I realize how much has happened in the last month. It seems like Caitlyn learns something new everyday, then moves on the another adventure. She is seriously the most curious child that I have ever known. All she wants to do it moves and explore and figure out this new world that she is in.

In the last month she has continued to babble on and now she talks to her self while she is sleeping! She discovered her tongue and how to stick it out and now she makes noises while sticking it out. She has just started to click with her mouth. I don't think that she knows exactly what she is doing but she will copy me sometimes.

She is finally almost big enough for her jumperoo, her toes touch the floor so we put her in it and she loves it most of the time. She rolls from her back to her stomach and back again on both sides, which is good and bad, like when she is trying to sleep and she rolls into the side of the crib.

She can see further now and she looks when you come in the room or say her name and just starts smiling. Oh, and she has started taking out her Binky from her mouth and trying to put it back in , she makes it in her mouth about 1 in 10 times, it is always funny to watch her try! She is so much fun and she makes me laugh everyday!

New Discovery

So Caitlyn's new discovery for last week was her tongue. She was fascinated by it and the fact that she could stick it out. It was her way of saying hello and smiling. Every time I would go pick her up from her crib she wouldn't smile, just stick out her tongue, she is a crazy one. But just like all the other new things she learns, she is over it all ready. In the time it took me to get the pictures on the computer and then on the blog she has moved onto new adventures like rolling over on her left side, she all ready conquered the right side a couple of weeks ago, she has a very short attention span which we blame on her Daddy!!

Blessing

So yesterday was finally the day that our little Caitlyn got blessed. It was a little delayed due to her cousins blessing and other things. It was a great day and Mike did a wonderful job at the blessing. We were both a little nervous that she might have one of her melt downs during the middle, but nothing, she just stared at all the people holding her and didn't make a peep! Then I broke down and did the cliche mom bearing her testimony, I had too. I now realize why all moms do it. The spirit was so strong and I realize just how much I had to be grateful for. I even broke down and cried, Mike laughed at me because I said I wasn't going to do it, but I did and it was great!! I didn't get any good pictures of her because she was so tired after church. I should have realized and taken them before, now I know for next time. Any how I am probably going to just dress her up again in the next week and take more pictures, it counts all the same!!

2007

This year has been quite the adventure, mainly focused around our little angel. We found out I was pregnant is January and then the year focused all around her! I got to retire in June and hopefully I won't have to go back to work for a very long time!

Life will never be the same for Mike and I, and that is a very good thing. Cailtyn is challenging and frustrating at times, like when she won't sleep and eat (which is everyday). Yet, I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world! Next year will be full of more firsts in her life and ours and we are excited to see what each new day will bring!

I am reminded everyday how blessed we are to be able to help this little spirit through this life. It's a very daunting and overwhelming task, but it has many more ups than downs.
